All right, I have spent more hours than I can count trying to get my website in Etsy out there. First I have discovered that I am not very good at marketing and advertising. I am better at making the things. I did get a google analytics profile. Not sure how much that is going to help, as there were things to go with it, and I am not that smart. In a nutshell, I am frustrated. Guess I am going to have to get help. Not even sure where to go for that.
One good point--I made a "Crown Royal" throw. It was auctioned off locally, made 400.00$ for charity. I was happy that it could be useful in more than one aspect.
Past that things are going fine. The kids are doing fine, just dealing with things that life hands everyone in time.
Birthdays are coming fast. Mine is already over, my husbands and now the kids are starting in. So far one girl and today a grand daughter.
It is snowing and I have alot to do, so I will save this and write more later.

Trying to put pics of my products---
I am trying a new thing. Hope that it works. If so, there should be pics of things that I have made. So here we go.....
A new offer for my business
Ok---I finished my second felt Christmas stocking. Making them for the grandkids. The stockings will stay here, so that Santa can fill them up here too. A special for the grandkids. So, this morning I was thinking that I might offer a new thing for my business. Someone buys a kit, I would put it together for them. They would only pay me for the labor.
Right now, when I finish doing my computer work. I am going to find a pattern for a doily. Not just any doily, but something very special. My sister in law is going through a very tough time. She has cancer and is not doing good. That women is very sweet, and I want to do something for her. My thought was to make her a doily, that way when she is in the hospital, she can take it with her. Something pretty to brighten the room. I hope that she likes it when I am done.

The beginning
Hi to everyone......
Having never done this before---here I go.
I am here to promote my art, and meet people. I am a very outgoing person that has a lot of interests. My loves are my husband, 10 kids and 4 grandkids. After my family comes my business. I own a sewing shop, doing a bit of everything from alterations, to making special orders. My second daughter's friend got me into Etsy.com. I have a store on there--The Golden Thimble. Please feel free to check it out. Let me know what you think.
We live in Southeast Alaska --it is beyond beautiful here. Camping, hunting and just enjoying the nature that God gave us is what we do.
I look forward to hearing from people that have the same kind of life that I do.... juggling kids, home business, and a spouse.
